TRAUMA HEALING GROUP

Healing from sexual abuse II

Closed trauma healing group (once a month)

Closed group for people with childhood sexual abuse (CSA) experience.

Childhood sexual abuse (CSA) is a latent crime and endemic public health and social problem with high potential to transform the trajectory of one’s life in a multitude of ways. Trauma affects the entire human organism – thinking, feeling, relationships.

Childhood trauma significantly affects psychological and physical health, leading to relational and sexual difficulties in adulthood.

Healing is possible, what one has experienced does not have to define

what one can still experience.

With adequate support and trust, a long-term healing process in psychotherapy can begin

for the survivors of CSA. This journey often starts with acknowledging psychological and

physical health issues, progresses to addressing relational problems, and ultimately

involves confronting the most shameful aspects of one's sexual experiences.

Thoughtful considerations:

  • forgiveness - is not always necessary for healing
  • letting go doesn’t mean forgetting
  • acceptance - acknowledging what happened without letting it define oneself
